Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage targets the deeper layers of muscle, fascia and connective tissue. The massage therapist uses slower strokes, deep direct pressure or friction techniques across the grain of the muscle.

Deep tissue massage is often used for chronically tight or painful muscles, repetitive strain, postural problems, or recovery from injury. A deep tissue massage loosens the muscle tissue, releases the build up of toxins and gets the blood and oxygen circulating more effectively. You may feel sore for one to two days after the massage. However, with a correctly done massage you should feel better than ever within a day or two.
